Visa voor India zijn niet meer verkrijgbaar bij de Ambassade van India. Indian Visa Service is hét nieuwe loket voor een visum voor India! Iedereen die naar India reist, moet in het bezit zijn van een geldig paspoort en visum. Per 1 november 2007 kunnen bezoekers aan India niet meer naar de Indiase ambassade om hun toeristen- of zakenvisum te regelen. Vanaf die datum neemt Indian Visa Service deze taak over van de ambassade. With effect from November 1, 2007 the visa collection and delivery process for tourist, business and family visas for Dutch nationals has been outsourced to het Visumburo Indian Visa Service (IVS). They will also continue to directly accept visa applications from diplomatic/official/laissez-passers passport holders. Effective november 1st, 2007 please use Indian Visa Service.
